Well, this all started when I began reading the manga. I knew I had to do Maka since she's just so awesome.

I finished the first (and highly incomplete) version of the costume right before Megacon. My wig was shitty, my boots were crap and worst of all my skirt was from hot-topic (which drove me nuts).

Right now I'm working on a new skirt (which looks WAY more similar to her skirt in the manga) and I'm working on new boots and a new wig.

I'm hoping to have all of this done before Anime Expo, so I can at least be presentable.

I'm also going to work on a new scythe (since the old one got rained on, and it looks like crap anyways) which will hopefully get started when I get a new job.

I'm hoping to have the final version done before Megacon 2009, which is when a ton of my friends are planning on doing their Soul Eater cosplays too.

So please bare with me as I try to improve on this costume!
