I drafted my own patterns for everything on this costume, so I didn't have to waste time tryng to alter something. Thankfully, nothing was too challenging, except possibly the hat. I'm very pleased with how everything turned out - the colors are really fabulous and all the details (including floofiness everywhere!) are awesome.

The shorts/bloomers are my favorite part, but I also really love how the hat turned out in the end. For the hat, I used poster board to keep it nice and stiff and made my own "feathers" from casa satin and stuffing - the reference picture has the very floofy, signature CLAMP feathers, and I just didn't like how real feathers looked. I decided to make my own very stylized "feathers" to make sure the costume was as accurate as can be.

Overall, I put a lot of time into this costume - the jacket has so many details, including all the resin jewels, the collar, the poofy sleeves, and the cuffs. Not to mention a big cape and even more jewels! I'm so pleased with how everything turned out and will be getting a lot of use out of this costume =)
