Can I mention I love Zuko?

This costume is 100% cotton, most of which was hand dyed for the right tones. The colours all had to match, but also had to be guessed at, since the episode section that features this is entirely at dusk with heavy gold lighting, which totally screws up any colour references.

First time making my own bias tape too. Pretty fun!

I love my makeup- it's certainly the best aspect of the costume for me. Ben Nye Scar effects Gel and Flesh effects gel, with a burn and bruise wheel for colour and two solid hours of work. I do the scar to best represent what a scar on that part of the face might resemble- so I build up the muscle lines and texture, rather than leaving it flat.
