Tifa is my favorite FF character ever. Actually, she's probably just my favorite character, period. I just adore her, and I like her movie design a lot. This costume is so much fun to wear because of the skirt/cape/apron thing- it swooshes and flies like mad in the wind when I walk, and I love it.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES: The vest is made of a not-super-shiny vinyl, based off a pattern I made. The white trim is attached permanently to the arm holes, and the bottom white section snaps on. I did it this way because I could never make a separate tank top lay correctly at the arms. The apron/skirt contraption is made from a material whose weave matches that of the super hi-res screenshots. The shoes are covers that are permanently attached to an old pair of clunky Skechers.

My first version of this costume had different shoe covers and the top was made of fake suede, long before there were really good screenshots of the textures. Version 2.0 debuted at ALA 2006.
