I always secretly wanted to cosplay Link, but the outfits he had (ie with the weapons) were too simplistic and have been done a bazillion times over (and well, I might add). So that was discouraging.

Link's Ordon outfit was interesting and hey! No weapon! I CAN DO THAT!

All the fabric for this costume was purchased at at least 4 different fabric stores in Lancaster, PA (Amish Country- Land of the Cheap Fabric). There's different textures to just about everything to make it seem more natural/earthy. There's also a TON of embroidery (via machine) on the blue and orange waist wraps and the quilted apron and sadly is only visible in super-close up shots.

I don't know why, but it seems the costumes I kinda do on a whim are the ones in which I do my best work ._.
