"Iverillian" / OMNIVOURe

Last Updated: 02-23-2008

Well, I never made an entry for this before, so here it finally is. I will admit that Iverillian is not a real series at all. It was a hastily devised universe meant to convey some kind of epic backdrop for showing off original costumes that Saeru and I had worked on independently and then decided were too incongruent for our original skit concept. So Alisia and we crafted a professional sounding but mysteriously unplacable opening audio sequence, threw together fight-dance choreography in a night, and managed to not trip too much running around in 6" platforms.

Normally, I don't do skits. This one, however rocked because we didn't have to do anything comedic and we still pulled off something to greatly please the audience. And it also rocked because Archon treats their masquerade entrants like kings and all silly anime cons can do well to learn from their shining example. And really, at Archon, no one expects or cares if your costume is officially "from" something published. We spent years accidentally convincing people that this is a real show, with many people claiming to have seen it. ^_^;

(And...while this *is* an original character design, this is actually an original character design that was created by me some time ago all together different purpose, which may someday be revealed. >XD So, you saw it here first.)

All of these particular shots are from a photoshoot Trish took us on in the St. Louis Botanical Gardens, where everyone there thought we were conducting some kind of band publicity stunt, a student fashion show, a parade or some random occult ritual. (We never all quite agreed what our story was.)
