Why
------------------------------------------------
I saw a japanse cosplayer to this version of Trunks, and I wanted to try it myself :)
I'm also a big Trunks fan. And by doing this outfit I would match my friend who would go as Son Goten. Also, this costume hadn't been done that often!
------------------------------------------------
How to
------------------------------------------------
Sweater: First I purchased a sweater but it exposed too much of my chest so you could see my... front if I bend over. That's just not done when you're Trunks. So I bought a better one right before the con.
Pants: As for the pants, I bought a pair of sweatpants at the market for only €5. I bought it in a huge size so it would have that baggy effect.
Jacket: The jacket was quite difficult for me to figure out. I lack any sewing skills and I always glue my outfits together (haha) but then Glay & QuantumDestiny offered me their Trunks jacket!! They are such great cosplayers so I'd be a fool to say no!! And indeed, the jacket was indeed awesome and so skillfully made... it blew my mind.
Wig: The wig was the most difficult part for me. I bought an Angela wig from Cosworx. It had waves in it so I pored hot water over it to straighten it. Even
my sister helped a bit @__@" After it was a bit more straight, I cut the wig. It was such a frightful experience.. I'm so afraid I'll mess up XD But the wig turned out great! I'm really proud with the end result and it's now one of my favorite wigs :3
Boots: First time for me to make those famous DBZ boots! The color I used was too light though... but I do like how they turned out. It also wasn't as hard
as I thought it would be. A lot of people liked my boots which made me quite happy :3
Socks: The socks were cut from a yellow shirt and pasted on the inside of the boots. So they weren't actual socks. I don't own bright yellow socks that reach that far on my leg XD
Belt: I made the belt-button out of carton. It didn't stick to the pants very well, which resulted into losing it at the con. Such a rotten shame, but oh well.
Chest-binding: I first tried that special bandaid for sportpeople. I couldn't do it at all @__@ So I tried a more severe measure... duck-tape. I wore an old tshirt, wrapped the duck-tape around it while inhaling (SO important!!!) and that was it!! It's not super comfy, but after I've gotten used to it it was okay. I didn't faint and wore it all day. Sometimes I even forgot it was there! My friend had the honors of cutting me loose at the end of the day. That felt soooo good XD

At the con
------------------------------------------------
People sure did recognize me but they didn't really recognize my friend, who even had SON GOTEN on her shirt!! That pissed her off a bit ;o; XD
Anyway, I received compliments *yay* and people yelling: TRUUUUNKS!! XD Anyway, fun costume :3
