This was part of Brilliant Moon Cosplay's X/1999 group at ALA 08. The wings were made by hand out of chicken wire, copper tubing, polyester batting, and LOTS of hand-clipped feathers. Let's just say I'm not in a big rush to work with feathers again...

Also, my sword is identical to our Fuuma's sword (except for color). We were going for a mirror image sort of effect, so our swords were made together. SO much work went into them, we were DEAD afterwards @_@ The hilts were first sculpted in clay, then we made molds, and finally cast them in plastic. Everything was hand-painted and antiqued, then the hilts were wrapped, the symbols were drawn on, etc.
