In the series Blood +, Diva is Saya's twin sister, one of two chiropteran babies found inside the mummy of another chiropteran discovered in Egypt. As an experiment, Saya was raised as any other human girl, but Diva was locked away, left isolated from contact. As a result, Diva became twisted, her senses warped. And while her singing voice was truly beautiful, the same could not be said of her twisted mind...

Originally, Diva was made only for the Blood + gathering at Anime Wasabi. But as time went on, our little gathering evolved into a skit. These pictures (courtesy of EBK- thanks Al!) are from Anime Wasabi, of our group, the skit, and some from Anime Idol, as well.

The materials for this costume were amazingly simple. I used a very light, gauzy white for the dress, and a basic Victorian dress pattern. I bought two different widths of light blue ribbon, since the rim on the bottom is wider than that on the neck, sleeves, or around the bust. I also bought a basic pair of flats and a blue rose. The shoes I painted, and I used my vampire fangs. Oh, and the wig is just my basic Kagome wig, worn at a lightly different angle, and with the bangs parted.
