Description

I became a fan when I was young after being introduced by my Father to the books. I didn't decide to cosplay until I saw the movie version and fell in love with the Elf character designs. Being an archer myself and having blond hair I decided to go for Legolas. He is one of my favourite characters.

When I first wore him he was the basic version as he first appeared in 'Fellowship of the Ring'. As I continured wearing him I added the Cloak, changed the quiver and updated the tunic.

The easiest part was the cloak. I managed to find the prefect fabric straight away and was pleased with the result. The leaf broach was hand made by me out of cardboard and miliput. I was so pleased with the result.

The hardest part was the quiver. It took some doing to figure out the best shape for him that would mean it was still lightweight. The body of it was cardboard with several PVA and paper coats. Finished with a liquid latex coat. The whole thing was then painted with acrylic paint.

My favorite part would have to be the broach. I was so pleased on how it turned out.

My Least favourite part was the tunic. I ended up remaking three times as I lost a lot of weight over the course of me wearing it. The ears can occasionally be unconfortable.

Although, Hes complete I would like to redo some of the parts of it and eventally add the white knifes.

He became my signiture cosplay at Starfury events.
