Winter *Snowflake* Lolita
Last Updated: 04-25-2010
First of all, I drafted all my own patterns here. The original blouse that was discarded had a gathered bust, peter pan collar, long sleeves and blue ribbon details on the sleeves. The blouse in the newer photos is storebought (kids section, ha). The blue fabric is a snowflake print flannel. The cape is lined with a shiny blue polyester lining, closes with a hook and eye and also ties with blue ribbon with little pom poms on the ends. The skirt is a high waisted, semicurcular skirt, open in the front. It has a white underskirt sewn in with the layers of lace down the front. Faux pockets and buttons were added. A two layer petticoat was made from tulle and canvas especially for this outfit. White flannel knee length bloomers are also worn underneath - they have lace, ribbon and pom pom detail also. A second pair of knee length bloomers, from my Shinku cosplay, are worn in the newer pictures. White boots were originally bought for this costume, but I have also worn black shoes, and always wear white tights. The hair bow is made from rectangles of fabric and lace sewn into the seams and attached to a thin headband.
