I made this costume for a surprise Nintendo-themed birthday party I threw for my boyfriend. I had been wanting to make Aryll's skull dress for ages now, so this was a great excuse for me. I made him a Link costume as well, which he really liked, except for the white tights.

For Aryll's dress, I started with an XL men's t-shirt, cut off the sides and sleeves, and sewed it back up. The skull designs are huge, and it took 3 bleach pens to make them as white as I wanted. The process took a few days, because I had to bleach it several times before it stopped looking streaky. I love it, though. Definitely wearable as a regular dress!
