Last year's costume was difficult, but this year was just plain crazy! I spent more than half of the total amount of time on the sword alone. Thank god for wonderflex, without it, I would never have been able to pull it off!

Our group was considerably smaller than last year's, but it was fun nonetheless. We experimented with a bunch of new materials, mainly wonderflex, vinyl, and the use of wigs.

All my armor was made out of wonderflex and all details were handpainted on. I sewed all 34 belts and in the process learned how much of a pain vinyl can be.

The sword has a center of rigid craft foam covered in polystyrene, but the rest is pretty much all wonderflex. It looks more delicate than it looks, and it's wicked heavy, but it survived the convention weekend intact, so I have no complaints.

Overall, I'm very happy with how it all came out.
