I've just recently learned that I should just stop having things commissioned for me. I had this costume commissioned, spent too much on it, & it came in looking like utter crap. It was so terrible, it made me put my 4 other current projects aside just to focus on fixing it. The insignia was the worst. I tore all of it off of the coat & remade them. The piece on the lapel is actually a pin now instead of sh!tty vinyl sewn on. I made a patch out of high quality red vinyl & hand painted the design on it, then hand stitched it over the left breast. Really, the only decent parts out of the entire costume were the S.E.E.S. armband & the belt. The coat itself is okay, just really thin & the zippers don't want to function very well.

I originally had this commissioned mainly because I loved the uniforms & wanted one of the jackets to wear around for the hell of it. Had I known I was getting ripped off, I would have just tried to make it myself.

Ironically, my boyfriend wants me to make him a Junpei costume, so I've been working on his simultaneously. I'm just modifying a store bought jacket for it instead of having it custom tailored. Really wish I would have thought of that myself. Damn my laziness... In the end, I still have to do work.

Anyway... I've decided to go ahead & use this as a full costume. Got a wig coming, bought a similar mp3 player from parts warehouse, & am going to modify headphones. (not paying $90 for the Audiotech ones. I already wasted enough on this costume.) Need to make the little bow-tie thingy. I already have shoes from my X-23 costume. Not too much more to do.
