What is it with me and quick makeshift costumes? I had a sudden urge to cosplay Otogi (Duke Devlin, Ryuuji Otogi) last night and made this in 45 mins this morning before going out to meet some friends! I wanted to cosplay him because we’re pretty alike. My nickname a few years back was “Dice”, and to be honest I kinda look like him a wee bit… except that I’m female of course! I got to spend all day talking about dice. This will be remade and all the items (wrist cuffs, and arm cuffs) will be made accurately instead of improvised items. Unfortunately, I have far too much to do on my other costumes in progress at the moment!

This was a quick thing for me to do, so I improvised on a lot of things and made myself “Duke style” rather than all the bits and pieces. It was well received though. Now all I need is green eyes >< The red overshirt is made from some nice cotton, but I would like to have a darker colour to be more accurate. The headband has just had the diamonds drawn on with a permanent marker (quickly XD).

Items made: Red overshirt, red headband, die earring. I’m quite impressed that the red overshirt sits right, but I could have made it a bit shorter to be honest!
The black vest was an old top I had, and I painted the collar in a dark blue like Duke’s.

I wore this with a pair of matching black wristcuffs that I unearthed from somewhere instead of the gold things around his arms, and accessorised the bottom with a couple dice bracelets, and a plain black cuff. Makes Duke look a bit more… Gothic? I was also very flattered that one of my friends noticed that I’d put a bit of my hair underneath the headband at the front for a bit of Dukeness ^^
