For Ozine Fest 2008, we went as a Bleach group. China was Rukia again, in her Shinigami clothes. Kat retained her role as Orihime, in her Hueco Mundo dress. Miguel decided to be Grimmjow, and for the sake of relevance, I agreed to be Ulquiorra even though I wasn't entirely sure I'd be able to pull it off.

It was refreshing to be working on new costumes again. Miguel and I helped each other with our stuff. He constructed his own Grimmjow jaw out of carved styrofoam, paper mache and cowry shells. Then he made my bone helm from rubber foam sheets, which looked awesome and was surprisingly light and comfortable to wear. In return, I dyed his Grimmjow wig; three layers of color - what a nightmare. My hands were tinted blue for a while. But it was worth it. Then we took turns wearing it while cutting and styling. We only regret that we weren't able to make the zanpakutos in time because of finals. Ah well, next time. :) Hopefully I get brighter green contacts, too. My current pair is barely noticeable.
