The Legend of Zelda

Last Updated: 04-16-2008

This was made for and worn by my boyfriend, Keith. Ganon was absolutely up his alley since it would involve prothetics, make-up, and an Evil Jar prop and those were all his job. However, making the actual costume was mine. I used two patterns, a clerical robe pattern(which also had the collar) and a roman soldier for the helmet. Bringing characters to life is always a main focus when cosplaying animated characters, so I chose some detailed fabrics and trims. Although the sleeve trim was a solid purple vinyl, the collar and helmet were a snakeskin patterned. I used a vibrant red and gold ribbon addition on the collar and a dark blue embroidery for the helmet. Keith made the spikes out of foam clay and I just glued them on. Overall it was an easy costume, but adding the trims were a bit time consuming. There were a few trial and errors conserning the sleeve trim and making the helmet before I broke down and bought the pattern. Hehe.
