Cheerleader Special Make-up FX version

Heroes (TV series)

Last Updated: 04-16-2008

This was a chance for my brother to have with some make-up FX skills. As it was my first competition entry for over a year we wnated to do something fun and challanging. We decided on 'Heroes' costumes as the show itself is really taking off in the UK. My borther joined me as Isaak the pre-cog painter. He set up a painting that tied into the theme of the event and the long standing in jokes that go with.

Considering my job as professional actress I have never worn this much FX make-up before. I was surprised that I found it quite okay. The original plan of the fake brick fell through as my brother fogot to take it with him so last minute improvisation on my part lead to the coffee cup being put through my chest instead. We would of added more blond, especially to my hair. But I had a photo shoot with guests the next day.

The easiest part was the top. I combinded two tops together rather tah make it from scratch. It was slight cheating on my part but I didn't have a lot of time to sew as I had a house move to plan.

The hardest part was the placement of the cut on my leg. Where it placed meant I couldn't bend my leg too easierly with the putty and latex coming off. So I hobbled on stage. Revelling that much fleash. It may not seem like a lot but to someone who has Gymnaphobia (a fear of being nude or any form of nudity) I did struggle a little bit with the cosplay. I did better than I thought and managed to stay in the costume for a couple of hours.

The painting was then given to the man featured in it who was the convention organiser.
