I have a desire to combine cosplay and singing. Now here's a character with an anime design who can sing pretty much all the J-pop songs I love.
So I must cosplay Miku. ^_^ Sometime. Not sure when, but I will.

Because I wanted to wait until after Christmas to start any cosplay (and then we got a snowstorm), I finally got a chance to go out shopping for Miku today. I bought fabric for the skirt and top, trim (3 DIFFERENT KINDS), fabric stitch for all the trim, zippers, and a dark blue fabric marker for drawing the design on the belt-thingy. Since I'm back at home, I brought the stuff I needed back with me, including some leftover black material I had for the sleeves. I just finished cutting out the sleeves and skirt, and pinning pleats into the skirt. Further work will commence on Monday, when I have the house to myself all morning. ^_^
