Ok, my current boyfriend has the perfect body type for Alucard. super tall, Skinny, but built. ( the hair... was iffy... but i worked with it) So i HAD to take the opportunity to make to best Alucard ever!

I decided on a dull red colored denim/canvas for the coat, because to bright red... disgusted me... the muted red makes the coat seem more realistic, not just a costume.

I LOATHE patterns, but i had to use it.. i would have had no idea where to start with such a large item. And i'm glad i figured it out. Since they don't make male patters, i had to use a womans Vogue tench coat pattern, and added what i had to. ( an inch to each or the 8 pieces that make up the basic width structure.. and a ft of length lol)

As for the hat, i used one circular piece of fabric, hemmed the brim to got a lighter feel to the hat other than using 2 layers. ( i chose a Pinkish tan.. almost flesh tone for the bands... going on average about the color. ><)

( i made every aspect of the costume except the basic glasses and the white shirt and basic gloves. <3)
