So here's the almost finished Aerith cosplay I posted preview pics of before.

Since I'm the perfectionist when it comes to anything cosplay, I REALLY wanted to get this one right!
I searched and searched for the closest patterns I could find for both the jacket and the dress. I ended up using two different patterns for the dress, and I altered the pattern for the jacket almost to death!
I even tried my best to get the fabrics as screen accurate as possible. The dress is made out of a light weight, but sturdy cotton I found in the clearance section at Joann fabrics, and the jacket is made out of moleskin which is like a cheap suede cloth, but it's actually washable!

The dress is finished off with a coral piping along the edge, pearlized white buttons down the front, and pleats under the bust for added shape. The jacket has DETAILED and VERY accurate tan stitching along every seam (exactly like hers in the movie), black leather straps on the sleeve cuffs, and stiffening in the collar.

Now, this cosplay is not finished completely yet. The dress still requires more piping, plus the inner seams need finishing off, and the jacket still needs button holes on the front plus brown buttons, and silver buckles on the black leather straps. Also, I commissioned PapercutPerfect to do my wig, and I still need to pay her for that. Oh, and I'm thinking about making some better bracelets and necklace. And of course, I still need to acquire a white materia for my hair. ^_~*
