Partly stemming from my desire to cosplay as many Ranma 1/2 characters as possible, and motivated by our theme for this GasuKan (original title, "Morally Ambiguous"). For now I'm just doing the school uniform, so the only thing new I had to do was buy and style the wig, and put together some appropriate props: "photos", a film camera or two, (real) yen, a mic, a mid-eighties era calculator... I'm planning on doing one or two of her outfits, so I don't get called "Akane" when I wear it anymore.

The wig did involve some work for such a simple style. It's two "Peggy Sue" sewn together, $16 each from the costume store. Sewing in all the extra wefts took about a week; cutting and styling took maybe two hours.
