I usually like to do a specific outfit for a character, but this dress was awfully cute and cheap, and Ranma does get dolled up quite a few times throughout the series. The real fun about this outfit was trying to think of non-girly poses I could do in it; my favorite were the "Major Armstrong/Check out my biceps" shots.

The dress was purchased from a stand in my local mall that sells handmade Chinese clothes and accessories (I'd love get some more stuff from them for Ran-chan/Shampoo; lovely brocades and really great prices). I just had to do a few small alterations to make it fit properly. The shoes are from Value Village.
