I saw the fabric for the duster on clearance at Joann's, and there was just enough there to make the duster and arm guards, so I took that as a sign that I should make the costume ;)

I didn't like the character of Rinoa much when I was playing the game, but I think putting X number of hours into making the costume made me appreciate the her more. It's also very comfortable to wear, not that obviously a costume (I can wear it on BART without feeling awkward), and (despite my thinking that there are too many Rinoa cosplayers out there) conveniton goers still like seeing more Rinoas.
