When I first played Kingdom Hearts 2 I told myself I was never going to cosplay Axel no matter how awesome his weapons were. I had always planned to make his chakrams and just hang them on a wall or something, but after making Roxas and already having the organization coat I figured I may as well go the next step and make the wig as well.

The hardest part of this costume was of course the chakrams. I was determined to make them accurate size and light enough to fling around the way he does. They'd made out of insulation foam, rigidwrap and hartyclay, and 3 months of effort. I'm pleased with how they came out.

I'm not happy with the wig yet. I spent a good deal of time dying the roots, but ran out of time to add all of the wefts before I debuted it at Acen. I have a full bag of red wig hair and every intention to fix it up shortly.

Overall I'm pleased with how it came out, and the reaction to the chakrams were gratifying.
