My very first cosplay, I decided to start off easy. I already got the suit, shirt, and tie.

For the shoe, I black-taped it with strips. As for the "poop", I did it by laminating yellow cloth after cutting out the patterns and then cutting the excess laminating plastic.

The hardest part was the claw swords. I started off by cutting out poster board into the shape of the sword blade for each of the ten blades. Then I had the ten laminated. Next, I superglued balsa wood strips as support to make them straight. Then I painted the whole blades with shining gray paint.

For the gloves (rubber chemical gloves with no stuffings), I cut out the fingertips and then inserted the blades into each of the ten finger holes. I epoxy-glued the blades onto the gloves and added superglue around the sides for good measure.

Overall, I enjoyed wearing the costume b/c of One Piece, but the claws turned out too flimsy to control for me even though they looked great.

Total cost to put it together: ~$50
