This costume was probably the most challenging one I've done so far. I can now claim to have legit armor and wig making skills. I am so proud of the wig it's not even funny. XD

The wig began its life as a femme fatale from amphigory and 2 packs of matching extensions for the braid. I cut bangs into the wig and generally hacked away at it because Hikaru's hair looks like a hot mess anywayz. The extensions were then sewed into wefts and added to the wig. Braiding wefts that long is a bitch.

All of the sewing in the costume was kinda made up as I went along and was quite relaxing compared to the armor making.

The armor is made from DAS air-dry clay and a bajillion hours of sanding. It's all reinforced on the back with fiberglass resin. The gems are resin-cast and dyed red.

My shoulder armour has leveled up! It looks so much better now, but it is so much less comfortable to wear.

This is one of the costumes that will probably be never completely finished until I retire it, but that's okay.
