Funny story. I was being initiated into my school Thespian troupe, and on Monday morning they tell our "big siblings" to pick our characters for character day on Thursday. My big sis looked at me and said, "Be Belle."

Fabric shopping Monday, mad skirt-making on Tuesday, skirt-tweaking and top piece on Wednesday, wore all day Thursday. Dear dog.

The version pictured above is actually the Banquet version (it said to come in costume), with the bodice that took four extra days. Fully boned, fully lined, a valuable learning experience.

This was fun. It really was. But I'm not sure if I ever want to sew anything yellow again.
