Viking: Battle for Asgard

Well, let's see. This costume took me about 2 months of working on it just about every single day. Let's start from the top I guess where you'll see my very first wig ever! I bought a blonde wig from Amphigory that was already in pigtails. It was curly so I straightened it and used my own variation of Katie Bair's stubbing tutorial to attach big styrofoam balls and then wrapped the hair from the wig and extra hair around them and hot glued it all together. The crown thingie is made of a flexible foam that I spray painted and glued on. The collar has a big piece of foam in it to make it stand up and is attached to the sleeves of the outfit. The brown part is a separate shirt that's under the collar piece. Due to time restraints, I didn't end up making the hip shields or gauntlets that the character has. The skirt is 2 pieces connected by the brown straps on my legs. The shield on the front of the outfit (and the smaller one on the back) were made by taking a hard plastic base and covering it with Crayola Model Magic (or Crayola Cosplay Magic as I like to call it lol) and all the detail was also made with Model Magic, which took a good couple of hours. It was spray painted gold and attached to the skirt with screws which are not visible because they're under the layers of Model Magic. The boots are just plain brown boots with white fur bobby pinned to the top. My blades were carved out of foam and covered with fiberglass to make them nice and unbreakable. they were painted and the handles wrapped with fabric.

If anyone has any questions about anything they did I'd be thrilled to help, just contact me however you want ^^
