Well, this is it. My first Cosplay. I have been in love with the show ever since "Freckles" got stuck in my head and refused to leave... In particular, the character of Kenshin has done an emotional number on me, ranging from laugh-out-loud to bawling-my-friggin'-head-off. So I had to pay homage to him, regardless of the hundreds of other identical Kenshin Cosplayers out there... XD

Some of the details that I like about the costume are the brown tabi socks that I made (they really are brown, but it's kind of hard to tell), the white zori sandals (if you don't have white sandals, you aren't a Kenshin cosplayer! Although, I'd like to get a REAL pair of zori sandals... The ones I'm wearing are flip-flops I got at Target for $3...), and the fact that instead of just lining the collar and sleeves with white fabric, I'm actually wearing a white kimono underneath the magenta one. Unfortunately, the white sleeves are a little difficult to see under the magenta kimono, but if it becomes a real problem, I'll fix it later... (Edit: Fixed! Sort of...)
