Hehe, this is a cosplay that I literally fell into doing, mostly because I already had the bulk of the materials handy to make the body of this outfit; so all I needed was just a few small details, plus a wig. I'm still not 100% fond of Ilia, but she has grown on me, even if she's an annoying b*tch. ;p
Ok, here's the specs on this one:
The body of the top is made from a somewhat stretchy linen fabric, the neckline is some sort of gray netting I placed over the linen, to give it that slightly darker look.
The designs allover are basically two types of trim; the middle is a gimp(?)trim, and I outlined it in a rayon drawstring stuff. I first drew the designs on in charcoal pencil, then instead of sewing it all on, I just glued the trim on with fabric glue that washes off, so I can go back and very easily sew it on.
The trim along the bottom starts off with a strip of felt, followed by some ironed out bias tape, then I placed the lace over felt and tape, the edged it in some trim that came off the same gray stuff along the neckline!
I put eyelets along the front and down the back for the ribbons to go through. I had BARELY enough ribbon for the whole thing, lol.
I still need fabric for the pants, hence the fact they aren't in any photos. ^^; Also, this wig got absolutely RUINED during my move to Wisconsin, so I need a new one now. I never really like the color of this one anyways, it is way too light for Ilia.
I should have this cosplay done sometime near the end of summer, hopefully. ;)
