Pyrite Aconite is a character devised after I wanted to create a Steampunk crew. She is considered the scientist/alchemist of the ship and has some interesting little accessories.

The majority of the costume is found objects from various thrift and army surplus stores. The rest was made personally by each member of the group.

We are the crew of the "Aperture" Air-Ship.

We are made up of 7 members (our 7th couldn't make it that day) and possibly adding another very soon. We do need a bit more work as we we're hastily put together for this gathering.

LOJ is just around the corner and I will be attending one nights of that event event in steampunk garb. I attended the SoCal Cosplay Picnic with a group of friends as a preliminary test for our Steampunk group. I took home the "Firefly-Path Choice Award" for my steampunk costume and ended up with a pair of gorgeous wings for an award (they look like glass!).
