*SIGH* Lesson learned: Putting off a complex project until the last minute and spending all of one night constructing an automail arm = GOOD IDEA!
I made this entire thing myself (with some help from a very understanding parent who did not want to see me DIE of stress), with the exception of the leather pants, which were stolen from my Mom's co-worker, because I have no skill sewing leather/pleather and was pressed for time and money, and the tank top.... Because it's a TANK TOP. Wal-Mart, anyone?
The automail was made out of some plastic sheets I got at Wal-Mart, silver vinyl, and .020" styrene. Part of the body piece was made of foam for comfort's sake. I can't wear it without binding, sadly. *tear* It's surprisingly comfortable, very durable, and I think will make quite a splash when I'm DONE WITH IT. Right now, it looks horrible.
The jacket, red coat, and boots are nothing remarkable. The black jacket was a modified shirt pattern, and the red coat was a bathrobe pattern. Used vinyl, styrene, and snaps for the clasp. ...I still need to put the flammel cross on the back of the red coat. The boots - Wal-Mart. Already had the red bottom, so WOO! Just cut them up and added the straps (vinyl and keyrings - my apologies to the keychains harmed in the process)
Still need to revamp everything, fix the automail, make the belt, get the flammel cross on there, get some contacts, and somehow make myself almost a foot shorter. =P
