First off welcome to another creative costume venture for the Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball. My friends and I had a few things planned for the weekend, Steampunk mercenaries the first night and fantasy creatures the second night.
For the longest time I wanted to do a unicorn costume, although at first my friend Nikki and I had no idea how we were going to accomplish it. We scoured the interwebs in search of some masquerade-esqe unicorn costume, but to no avail. So we looked at concept art on deviantart for inspiration.
The hooves were built on clear heels, most of the pieces were put together easily last minute and the corsets, boyshorts, and pantyhose made up most of the body. Our tails were pieces of old gardening hose with fur stuffed into the ends and the masks/headpieces were done by Nikki with her excellent mask making skills. We went through various trial and error with the horns.
My good friend Christine did most of the hair and makeup, I did my own makeup. The photos of us were shot by my fiancee Kurt.
