This is a Gothic Lolita inspired dress. It was originally going to be Misa from Death Note but after I started making the bodice of the dress and sewed on the first skirt layer the Bodice was not turning out so great and the skirt ended up being too short. So after some consideration I decided to go with a Gothic Lolita idea.

The panel with the buttons was the most tedious aspect of the dress. The buttons were all hand sewn on and that pretty much took forever Dx But it turned our really nice and it hid the Bodice well. I also made a huge bow for the back of the dress. I was pretty determined to hide that bodice. Anyways the bow turned out amazing. I love it xD

The zipper was probably the most annoying. It was a long coat zipper but it ended up working pretty nicely. The skirt layers were also harder. More so on my sewing machine. All that fabric and layers did not sit well with it but it was a trooper.

The Skirt turned out amazing. I absolutly adore it. The petticoat made it evevn more amazing. So yeah. Amazingness I love this costume.

The only think I would have done diffrently is I would have made some sort of sleeves. Even though it was a summer convention I was freezing in this. Next time. Sleeves.
