This has been a dream costume for a while. I made the shoulder, waist, and knee armor out of wonderflex and friendly plastic, all of the metallic trimming is craft foam lacquered with copious layers of Elmer's Glue, and I cast all of the jewels myself. I also drafted a lot of my own patterns, too. The only garment I used a pattern for was the waist cincher, and even then I had to modify it a bit. I also had a lot of beads and sequins left over from older projects, and coincidentally enough they all matched my Umi fabric, so I beaded the hems of the skirt and train.

The wig was also kind of an ordeal. I ordered it thinking it was light blue, but when I received it, I found that there were actually a lot of purple and lavender strands in the wig, and it just looked kinda .... off .... with the rest of the costume. So, I dyed it!
