I decided to base this costume on the animated series version more than the comic book. That was what got me into Batman in the first place when I was younger. I used a zentai suit for the costume and altered the mask adding holes for my wig, eyes and mouth. The cape I made as well as the belt and bat symbol. Everything is connected with snaps and velcro including the cowl.
