This was my first cosplay ever. At Fanime 2000 where I first saw cosplay in action, I thought I'd give it a try for AX00 with Lucca. The idea of portraying a character from a video game or anime really started to become a passion after I had completed this costume. It was just awesome to see the character come alive through yourself in the cosplaying way. In Chrono Trigger, Lucca is Chrono's childhood friend and I got the impression that there was a strong buddy-buddy relationship between the two. Later on in the game where Marle is introduced, I felt that the game would sway towards building more of a romantic relationship of this new character and Chrono, moreso than that on Chrono and Lucca. Even more later in the game when we meet ROBO and frog, we can get the idea that Lucca really isn't the romantic type of person and is more the type who will focus her energy into her interests in mechanics, books, and other studies. Lucca is a character who I admire because she hangs on to her ambitions, integrating her friendships all the while.
