This costume is actually an original character based off of the movie The Labyrinth which stars David Bowie. It's destined for the Labyrinth of Jareth as the Spirit of the Sea. The only part of it that I'm using a pattern for is the top corset part. Otherwise, the rest is made completely of my own design.
It is comprised of a sky blue overshirt and lacing ribbons to a bow in the back. Underneath is a white underskirt, and the hemming with be a darker blue. My mask might be commissioned from someone if I cannot make it myself, but that will be the only piece. The outfit will be decorated entirely will shells and different parts of the sea, and my shawl with be made of fish netting with shells and kelp threaded through it. Ultimately, I will be making two pairs of stockings into webbed hands and feet, and paint blue acrylic spiral designs all the way up.
