This was my very first cosplay. I was still in elementary school, but I was a serious anime freak...

The costume was $30 at a costume store, and my mother orginally told me she wasn't going to buy it because of how much it was. She was actually going to buy it later, since my grandmother was with us, and she didn't want my grandmother to know she was going to spend that much money on a Halloween costume for me. My grandmother decided it would be my birthday present from her. ^^.


I wore this costume through my growth spurt... from under 5 feet to 5'3". In 2000, I wore it for the final time, when me and and my mother both agreed it was just way too small. I went to my first convention in June of 2001, so the costume just barely missed me wearing it there.
