Quistis was one of the few characters I liked in FF8, and I wanted to make myself a Halloween costume to learn how to sew.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES: The black jacket and skirt were taken from my closet. Since I already had items that worked perfectly for this costume, it seemed a bit wasteful to make them from scratch. The rest of the costume pieces are fully detachable, in the case that I need to wear the jacket separately. Being that the collar, tie, wrist bands, etc, were the first things I ever sewed, the first version of this costume was relatively low in quality. I recently remade all of these parts to wear at ALA 2006 at a friend's request. The second time around, I also stiffened the lapels (would that be the correct term here?) to avoid the droopy effect, and added the tie clip.
