I promised myself in 2003 that if they ever re-made Final Fantasy VII, I'd make a new Cloud costume. Well, instead of a remake, we got a movie and I figured that was close enough and I also fell madly in love with the new costume design. I'd been planning this costume since the announcement of the movie in December, 2003 so I'm very happy that its now done. Though I am still not completely satisfied with it, at least its a lot better than my first attempt to cosplay Cloud. The sword was added to the costume at Katsucon, complete with light-up materia.
