I don't have much to say about this costume. The top was easy, the skirt was easy...the poofy skirt thingies I'm a bit disappointed with and plan to re-sew but otherwise it's okay. I painted the skirt puffs and sleeve puffs with silver glitter fabric paint to give it a glitzy look.
The wig is a shoulder-length, slightly curly wig which I pinned up in the back to get the fluffy look in the back. Then I added a clip-in also slightly curly in the same color to add more fluff in the back. After that I noticed that I could see the weave of the wig on the top so I bought one of those long strings of extensions in a similar color and attached it on top to cover the weave, then combed it into the bangs to mix it in. To make the colors match and set the style, I used pale gold colored hair spray. I'm pretty proud of the wig because it took a long time to do.
I bought the glass slippers online...I was very disappointed with them. They almost slip off in the back but they hurt my toes badly in the front. The bottoms are black instead of white or silver and it just looks tacky. When these fog up beyond use, I'll get comfy heels and paint them silver with sparkles.
