I had wanted to do this since I did the animated/Cartoon Network Starfire in 2005. It took me a while to get around to doing it so I'm happy to finally have it done!

I started with a white spandex bodysuit and dyed it to match my skin makeup. My husband did some airbrushing on it for some extra definition. I made the purple leotard using a swimsuit pattern - I made it out of plain purple spandex and cut that apart to have the look I needed, then used that as a pattern to cut my metallic fabric. I attached it to the orange bodysuit.

The gauntlets and collar my husband made - he made forms of my arms and a basic form of my neck using paper mache and then fiberglassed the forms. The boots were platform boots I bought online and made boot covers for, they are sewn onto the bodysuit to keep them up. The chestpiece is a rubber latex superhero chest which I painted to match my skin makeup.

I had so much fun with the wig, it is two wigs I bought from cosworx as well as two packs of extensions. A lot of teasing and some curling and I had my giant wig LOL. I had to go back and actually take some of the "padding" out because I got it TOO big the first time around.

This was so much fun to wear at Dragoncon, I can't wait to wear it again - I'm hoping to bring it to Megacon in 2009.
