I am a huge Stephen King nerd (obviously, lol) and Lisey's Story is one of my favorite books by him (and one of my favorite books ever too) and on one of my multiple readthroughs the idea of turning this part of the book into a costume popped into my head. The tea-stained towel with the blood from the can opener cut, the bloody afghan square, the shovel and the garland was just a fun addition cause Boo'ya Moon has the coolest flowers. Hehe~
