I love TF2 to death. I really wanted a simple but fun costume to wear this Halloween, preferably with minimal to no sewing. I also wanted it to be video game-related so I could wear it to work (at GameStop). Eventually I realized I could probably get all of the pieces for a Scout costume from stores without having to make anything aside from the headset. Thus, a Scout was born.

I collected the pieces from various places:
-Red/blue shirts and black cap came from Michaels Craft Store
-Bat came from Toys R Us
-Already owned pants (black capris), belt, socks, shoes, and dogtags
-Gauze from drugstore, left over from wrapping feet for Gaara costume
-The headset was a pair of hearing protectors from Home Depot. I took of one earpiece, and taped a microphone from a different headset to it. Kinda ghetto, but it gets the job done. One day I'd like to get a proper yellow one with a mic already on. I've seen plenty of Scouts with those. Where do you find them? D:
-Need a decent black bag, currently just using old messenger bag I found at home

This costume is ridiculously fun to wear, and so satisfying because I didn't have to sew anything for once! Someday I want to cosplay a Medic, but that will involve lots of sewing and hardcore prop-making. Until then, I'm perfectly happy being an obnoxious, squishy foam bat-wavin' Scoot.
