Description

I actually started on this dress many years ago, but never really finished it. Then, a couple of days ago a friend of mine asked if I would like to model one of my costumes for her photography project. I decided to dig it out again and finish it. I still don't consider it totally complete, but I'm happy with how it turned out.
The dress is a Robe à la Française or Saque Gown made of blue and gold brocade. The underskirt is dark gold "silk essence", a fabric I adore and probably use /too/ often. :p
The hair was done at the last minute, so it's not as great as I wanted. I'll eventually invest in a wig that I can style properly, but I'm happy with how this came together.
Cage panniers were made by me, and the stays are actually my Elizabethan bodies because my Rococo stays fell apart. :p
