So what would Ranma look like as an adult, married to Akane and have kids? Me and Kumi-chan were invited to a special panel where they would interview Ranma and Akane at 28 years old. Kumi created an epic fanfic story that picks up after the original series conclusion. It tells of Ranma and Akane's romance (finally!) and courtship, continuing on to marriage, and life at the dojo with 2 kids. She came up with the idea of Ranma, who now is the head of the Anything Goes Martial Arts school, to have his own school jacket with his name and school name on it. I found the jacket at a VV, and Kumi used iron on letters and embroidery on it. It's beautiful, and spectacles were a nice touch--a nod to Ranma's dad's own glasses. The result is a very clever and thoughtful concept on original cosplay based of an existing series. We'll also be cosplaying doing the characters at a younger age, so we can have baby props and things.
