To start off 2009, I wanted to try dressing up as someone new and different for the monthly cosplay gathering I regularly go to. A Hetalia group was being formed for this particular gathering, and coincidentally...this got my attention around the time I was officially hooked to the series. It was a good opportunity to be someone from Hetalia. But WHO?

At first, I wanted to be someone who was already taken in the group. But then it was suggested that I be Cuba, and from that point on......well, you get the idea, right? XD

I couldn't really put together Cuba's uniform, so I just took what I saw in the manga and worked off that to decide what I would wear. Not only was this easy to put together, but I'm probably one of the first Hetalia fans out there to dress up as this character. I'm obviously missing a few details (like facial hair~XDDD)...but I still look okay.
