If I ever wear a costume this simple, you know that I REALLY love the character or the show. Both are true in this case; I fell in love with Nodame the moment I started watching the first episode of the live action. Ueno Juri FTW!

I modified this dress to fall to the knees and have a fuller skirt. I also added cherries to the neckline, which never seems to show up in pictures. I put far more work into the piano bag than I did the dress; I hand painted all of the keys. I styled the wig, even including Nodame's signature flyaway strands. Oh yes, I look like I rolled right out of bed!
